NOODLE

This is a cold or room temperature dish.

First things first, roast your sesame seeds! Simply put them in a pan and heat to your preferred roasty level.

NOODLE
Choose your pot based on how much vermicelli you'll be making. Boil your water, add the noodles, cook until you're pleased with it. Strain and then put in a bowl to keep. Cover the noodles in sesame oil to prevent them from sticking while you finish cooking.

SAUCE
For the sauce, you'll need a small, shallow pan. Trickle a decent amount of sesame and spicy sesame oil into it. One it's gotten warm, add minced garlic. Add some sesame seeds, some Roasted Chilli Sauce, be generous with some Mirin, add little soya sauce, some Japanese 7 Spice, some Japanese Rice Vinegar... Keep on going until you're satisfied with the flavour. It should have a nice roasted feel to it, and it will be very oily. 

GARNISH
Pick between a cucumber julienne or shredded cucumber, then add to the platter. Sprinkle on some pea sprouts and some sesame needs to finish it off.

FRIED EGG ON ROSTI W/ ASPARAGUS & TRUFFLE OIL


MAIN
Eggs
Ikea Rosti Pancakes
Asparagus

SEASONINGS
Paprika
Italian
Salt
Pepper

GARNISH
Truffle Oil (Opt)

MAIN 
Place two pieces of asparagus (per person) on an oven tray with olive and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Let roast for about 20min or until crispy in a 400c oven. Flip asparagus after 10 minutes.
Place one Rosti Pancake (per person) in a non-stick frying pan with olive oil. Fry until golden brown.
After the Rosti Pancake in finished, take it out and place it on a plate. Then add more olive oil to the pan and crack on egg (per person) and fry. Top with paprika, italian herbs, salt and pepper. I recommend you keep the yoke runny, but it's up to you.

Place the fried egg and asparagus on top of the Rosti Pancake.

GARNISH
Drizzle truffle oil on top of your egg if you so desire.
